Links Energy Service Offerings
Providing Solutions, Not Confusion.
What is Demand Response?
A set of energy management options that allows participants to monetize their energy through cost avoidance and energy cost offset strategies. Demand Response reduces the need to call upon peaking plants during high usage hours which in turn helps reduce the aggregate cost of power to all customers.
Market Benefits
Ensures adequate supply during peak periods
Bridges Capacity Requirements
Minimizes system reliability events
Reduces the wholesale cost of electricity
Qualified scheduling entities (QSEs):
Links Energy Partners was the 8th registered QSE in the ERCOT market (currently 30+).
QSEs submit bids and offers on behalf of resource entities (REs) or load serving entities (LSEs). QSEs are able to submit offers to buy or sell energy in the Day-Ahead and Real-Time Markets. The QSE is also responsible for submitting a Current Operating Plan for all resources it represents and offering or procuring Ancillary Services as needed to serve their represented load. QSEs are responsible for settling financially with ERCOT or PJM.
Peak Demand Management:
Your Electrical Utility (TDSP) charges incrementally higher costs for energy consumption during peak hours. Links Energy Partners will provide alerts when fundamentals indicate that system wide power prices could potentially peak. Reducing consumption during these peak periods will allow you to curtail your overall demand charges, effectively lowering your future electricity spend.
One peak hour a month can double, triple or often quadruple your TDSP charges. If you could avoid these inflated charges by taking action, wouldn’t you want to know how? Partnering with Links Energy Partners we can provide you with the tools and a Curtailment Strategy Plan for lowering your TDSP charges through Peak Demand Management.
Automated Demand Response:
When a demand response event occurs, Links Energy will send an alert through prearranged channels (phone, email, text) to you or through your Energy Management System. Through Links Energy’s Automated Demand Response program, a predetermined curtailment strategy is then implemented throughout your operating facility. You’ll have an option to override these signals as needed or reevaluate your load strategy in real time.
Links Analytic Portal (LAP):
LAP can be completely customizable catering towards specific customer locations, regions, commodity products and curves. Created by our in-house software and programming engineers, in collaboration with direct customer interaction, we have developed a proprietary web based utility portal that monitors your facility’s load and provides up-to-the-minute market intelligence that offers true insight allowing you to make decisions in real-time.
